Our Math Department
Our math department is led by Evan Grewal. It includes a variety of courses for all grade levels that are taught by high school students who have completed rigorous math courses and programs. These courses provide a strong foundation to all levels of math, whether your child is learning basic inequalities in Pre-algebra to complex proofs in Geometry.
Intro to Pre-Algebra
This course is for younger students in 3rd or 4th grade, to get a brief introduction to pre-algebra concepts they would learn in higher-elementary and middle school. The course covers simple equations, inequalities, and an introduction to variables. This course is taught by Guneesh Saluja.
Intro to Geometry
This course is meant for kids above 4th grade. Those who completed Intro to Pre-Algebra may attend this course, but newcomers may also join. This course covers basic geometry concepts such as distance, inequalities, graphing, volume, and surface area. This course is taught by Shaurya Gupta.
Algebra 1/Advanced Geometry
This course builds on the concepts taught in the Intro to Geometry course, but advanced 5th-8th graders may join without taking the previous course. More advanced graphing, proofs, and the basics of Algebra 1 will be taught to use in middle and high school. This course is taught by Evan Grewal.
